Angela Pinder

Angela was born in Miami and has resided in Dade County for over a decade. Her passion for addressing issues that plague her community led her to Beyond the Bars, where she joined as a member seeking help for the legal challenges her children faced after being arrested. She was soon hired on as a community organizing, building on experiences she had canvassing with local power-building organizations, including Power U Center for Social Change and Miami Workers Center. To her role with BTB, she brings more than two decades of experience working as a paralegal, receptionist, and facilities maintenance specialist at various law firms in Miami. She is also a poet and budding music producer, using her creativity to shed light on the injustices experienced by her people.

Angela graduated from the Art Institute of Washington’s Visual Arts Program and has completed college-level courses in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University.
